Planning on making a trip to NYC soon? You may want to— in October the Statue of Liberty (one of our very beloved historical landmarks) will be closing for yearlong repairs. (Our lady liberty is going under 27.25 million dollar renovations!)
While she undergoes renovations, why not take a look at her during the early days? Originally known as “Liberty Enlightening the World,” the great work was a gift to America from the French people to celebrate the Franco-American alliance that helped win the American Revolution.
